Dedicated, own state-of-the-art clinical pharmacology unit with 130 beds:
- 50 intensive care beds in 5 wards
- 80 overnight staying beds (2-4 beds per room)
- 4 multifunctional rooms (pharmacodynamic testing etc.)
- 5 recreation rooms, incl. volunteers canteen
- Separate S2 Unit for bio-hazardous substances, biotechnological drugs gene therapy
FOCUS Clinical Drug Development GmbH has a 8 bed hospital based research ward in the University Clinic of the Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf.
Due to its full service coverage by the university clinic facilities (medical specialists and ICU team) it will be particularly suitable for First-into-Man studies with high risk compounds and oncology studies.
Staff
Our permanent, well experienced and long-serving clinical staff consist of:
- physicians specialised in clinical pharmacology, diabetes, CVS, CNS, immunology, oncology, anesthesia, general and emergency medicine (including Japanese physician and nurse)
- nurses (all with intensive care training)
- volunteer secretaries (incl. Japanese staff)
